    District 27 is looking for a highly-organized, professional, and driven individual to serve as a maintenance technician in an elementary school district. Northbrook School District 27 is a professional learning community made up of approximately 1300 students across three school buildings educating students to succeed in a changing world. 

    QUALIFICATIONS:   

    1. High School diploma or equivalent
    2. Certificate of good health signed by a licensed physician
    3. Knowledge of mechanical, plumbing, heating, air conditioning, and electrical systems.
    4. A minimum of two years of verifiable work related to plant operations and maintenance responsibilities
    5. Ability to read mechanical, electrical, and plumbing drawings
    6. Basic level of computer knowledge and capability
    7. Experience with digital building controls (BAS)
    8. Type II EPA certification preferred

The starting salary range for this position is between $75,000-$95,000 annually, with the higher rates for candidates with previous experience working in a public school.  This is a 12-month position with a 260 working day calendar. Benefits include 16 sick days, 3 personal days, access to shared cost medical and dental plans, term life insurance, and long term disability coverage. Ten vacation days are also included for years 1-4, building up to 20 days in year ten. Option money in the amount of $800 annually is also included to help cover medical premiums.
