About the Department

IT SUPERVISOR


REGULAR HOURS OF WORK:  8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.  M-F (may be required to work a flexible schedule), 40 hours per week


IMMEDIATE SUPERVISOR:  Director of Operations


DEPARTMENT:  Operations

Position Duties

DUTIES:

65% Supervision of Information Systems

Supervises IT team members and directs departmental priorities including, but not limited to:

  • Provides support, directionsupervision and training to the IT team members.  
  • Ensures Fairfield DD personnel policies and procedures are followed
  • Recommends hiring, discipline, and termination actions to the Director of Operations
  • Maintains, purchases, configures, and deploys technology equipment in accordance with replacement schedules
  • Oversees resolution of technology issues through the IT ticketing system and coordinates with county offices as needed
  • Works with the Director of Operations on agency technology initiatives and operational improvements
  • Completes annual evaluations and periodic performance reviews for assigned team members
  • Reviews and approves time records and leave requests, ensuring adequate operational coverage
  • Provides leadership for agency technology planning, operational continuity, and system reliability in coordination with the Director of Operations
  • Supervises interns as part of an educational program in the event FCBDD partners with a college.


20%Operational Leadership Support to Director of Operations

  • Supports the Director of Operations in departmental leadership, strategic initiatives, budget development, project implementation, reviewing and updating Board polices, and technology planning
  • Serves as a delegated representative of the Director of Operations for assigned operational matters, committees, and interdepartmental coordination
  • May represent the Director in meetings, initiatives, or communications as directed
  • Provides operational leadership continuity during the Director’s absence within the scope of delegated authority and established agency policies
  • Represents the IT Department on the Extended Leadership Team
  • Assists in the design, implementation, and evaluation of technology solutions supporting agency operations
  • Writes a monthly summary on information systems management for inclusion in the Board report.  


10%Maintains Records of the Agency


Oversees the continuity, accuracy, security, and compliance of agency records including:

  • Paper records supported by the agency
  • Electronic records maintained in agency systems and databases
  • Archived electronic and physical records
  • Establishes methods and schedules for reviewing record quality, access tracking, and data integrity
  • Periodically audits and cleans databases to ensure accuracy and reliability
  • Coordinates datasets with state and federal reporting systems as required
  • Maintains working knowledge of the State Department of Developmental Disabilities Data Warehouse and relevant agency systems
  • Ensures agency records management practices comply with public records requirements, retention schedules, confidentiality standards, and applicable data governance regulations
  • Implements and follows Fairfield DD and Fairfield County records retention and disposition policies

  • Interacts in a courteous and professional manner with individuals receiving supports, families, staff, supervisors, and community partners
  • Provides presentations or information concerning the agency, department, or work unit in accordance with Board philosophy and mission
  • Participates in and provides internal or external training as required


1%Other


  • Maintains confidentiality of records, information, and program matters
  • Complies with Safety Rules established for compliance with Ohio Employment Risk Reduction Standards
  • Represents the IT Team on the Board’s Safety and Security Committee
  • Performs other duties as assigned by the Director of Operations


Minimum Qualifications

QUALIFICATIONS: 

  • Bachelor's Degree or higher plus minimum of three years’ experience working with data or IT support
  • Extensive knowledge of database structures, maintenance and development
  • Successful completion of Fairfield DD’s Emerging Leader Program and NACo academy, or enrollment within one year of hire and a proven track record of leadership; OR minimum of two years leadership experience in a professional capacity. 
  • Knowledge of HIPAA regulations and how they apply to our agency as a covered entity
  • Maintains a valid Ohio driver's license and a driving record acceptable to agency insurance carrier
  • May be requested to work flexible hours based on service needs

FLSA:  Exempt from overtime
