Job Summary:

The Senior Conference Services Manager is the primary point of contact between a client and the hotel, handling the organization and execution of meetings and events for groups. This role requires maintaining tight yield management on function space, accurate forecasting to meet budgeted goals, and effective communication with hotel departments and vendors.

Responsibilities:

- Represent The Breakers to clients and attendees for high-level and multi-day complex programs

- Build relationships with clients to provide input throughout the planning process

- Implement sales strategies and yield management to meet client needs and hotel profitability

- Cultivate relationships with clients and vendors to drive repeat business

- Assist in menu development and pricing for banquet events

- Negotiate and hire vendors as necessary for programs

- Solve problems creatively in planning and execution stages

- Make independent decisions to meet client needs and hotel capabilities

- Lead meetings with clients and hotel department managers

- Provide instructions to all hotel departments for smooth operations

- Manage all activities, events, and operations related to conferences

- Collaborate with and mentor administrative coordinators

- Optimize function space and equipment use for maximum sales

- Conduct financial forecasting and projections

- Contribute to departmental operations through management meetings and projects

- Promote internal services such as Design Studio, Audio-Visual, Activities & Recreation, and Restaurants

Qualifications:

- Minimum of 3 years of experience in a similar role, preferably in a luxury market

- Self-motivated individual with strong written and verbal communication skills

- Detail-oriented with excellent problem-solving abilities

- Ability to manage multiple projects effectively, even under pressure
