About the Role:

The Registered Dietitian will play a critical role in promoting optimal nutritional health and wellness of inpatients and outpatients at Regional West Health Services. This position involves assessing the dietary needs of diverse populations, developing personalized nutrition plans, and collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to implement effective nutritional interventions. The Registered Dietitian will ensure compliance with regulatory standards and best practices while educating clients and staff on nutrition-related topics. Ultimately, the Registered Dietitian will contribute to improving health outcomes through evidence-based nutritional guidance and support.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Master's degree in Dietetics, Nutrition, or a related field from an accredited institution.
  • Current registration as a Medical Nutrition Therapist within the state of Nebraska.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of clinical nutrition and regulatory compliance.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with patients, healthcare teams, and food service personnel.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience working in a healthcare food service setting.
  • Proficiency with nutrition analysis software and electronic health record (EHR) systems.
  • Experience in quality improvement initiatives and menu development for diverse populations.

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct comprehensive nutritional assessments for patients and clients to determine dietary needs and restrictions.
  • Develop, implement, and monitor individualized nutrition care plans based on clinical guidelines and patient goals.
  • Collaborate with healthcare professionals, food service staff, and management to optimize meal planning and delivery.
  • Provide education and counseling to patients, families, and staff on nutrition, healthy eating habits, and disease prevention.
  • Stay current with emerging research, trends, and best practices in dietetics and nutrition.
