The Job Details:
· Lead the efficient coordination and execution of workflow throughout the warehouse, consistently keeping safety, sanitation, cost controls, productivity, accuracy, team environment, and customer satisfaction in line with facility goals.
· This position is intended to provide a foundational understanding of the Superintendent position and serves as an introduction to management.
· Build good working relationships with the staff while upholding our culture and core values.
· Maximize all warehouse activities as they relate to meeting established financial goals, making recommendations to the Operations Manager and/or General Manager for operational and capital improvements.
· Ensure that all warehouse sanitation, safety and security activities are consistently performed in accordance with USCS, OSHA, other government regulations, and industry standards.
· Provide continuous improvement of labor efficiency through coaching, providing feedback, and training.
· Manage any incident, injury, or near- miss, perform follow-up investigations, and log them into our safety tracking program.
· Act as a point of escalation for various matters.
· Act as a liaison to develop good working relationships at all levels within the USCS team, leading and communicating as needed to maximize individual and team performance.
· Provide hands-on leadership training and development for the ongoing development of the assigned personnel and teams.
· Ensure and maintain good warehousing practices, food safety, customer SOPs, and inventory accuracy while remaining inspection ready.
· Participate in the corrective action process and work through interpersonal issues.
· Oversee inventory control functions and procedures, including cycle counts, product rotation and recall, training, customer claims and requests, and record keeping.
· Maximize the utilization of all USCS warehouse support computer system applications and tools, including RF equipment, while making recommendations for continuous improvement.
· Troubleshoot issues in the warehouse and work with a range of departments to resolve issues.
· Approve timecards, assist with setting schedules, and approve time off requests.
· Conduct performance reviews of team members.
· Participate in the hiring process of new warehouse employees.
· Perform any additional tasks delegated by the Superintendent, Operations Manager, and/or General Manager and act on their behalf when needed.
· Perform Warehouse Supervisor/Lead Supervisor duties as business demands.

What We Are Looking For:
Education
· Required: High school diploma, GED, or equivalent
· Preferred: 2-year College Degree or 3+ years’ experience in similar industry/business.
Experience
· Warehouse supervision and operations, preferably in a food or temperature-controlled environment.
· Computer applications including MS Office Suite
· Customer service oriented.
· Must be able to consistently lead others to take positive action.
