About the Role

Sunward’s Inventory coordinator is an expert in their field of material allocation, receiving, FIFO compliance, Lot controls, cycle counting, and physical inventory.  Accountable for receiving and issuing processes of an organization’s raw materials, supplies, and consumables. The main duties include controlling the flow of inventory, tracking, and analyzing inventory discrepancies with corrective actions.  Responsible for accurate record keeping of live inventory at multiple locations.  Communicating with location managers to maintain required inventory usage will be key to success.

  • Allocate raw material usage based on the Material Usage paperwork submitted by facilities
  • Examine the levels of raw materials and supplies to determine shortages in collaboration with the Inventory Manager and procurement.
  • Review BOMs and analyze differences in material allocation
  • Create, review, and resolve detailed reports for allocation discrepancies.
  • Participate in the process for regular cycle counting, including making adjustments as needed.
  • Ensure materials and supplies orders avoid excessive surplus in collaboration with the Inventory Manager and procurement.
  • Deliver timely communication for missing inventory usage to leadership.
  • Work with cross-divisional teams to build consensus on objectives and operational plans.
  • Ensure inventory is audit compliant.
  • Ensure compliance with all safety and security policies and procedures.
  • Up to 25% travel may be required.
  • This role may be required to assist with other duties as assigned, as well as in other functions of the operation.
