Job Description


A dedicated and flexible team member responsible for maintaining cleanliness, safety, and hygiene across multiple school buildings as needed. The custodial floater steps in to support daily operations, cover absences, and ensure a welcoming environment for students, staff, and visitors.

Hours: Monday - Friday 1:30 PM - 10:00 PM (includes half hour unpaid lunch)

Responsibilities:

  • Report to Lead Custodial Supervisor
  • Use approved methods and materials in cleaning and caring for assigned facility
  • Dusting, vacuuming, sweeping and mopping
  • Operate floor equipment such as auto-scrubber, vacuum and side by side
  • General cleaning of furniture, window sills, walls and empty trash receptacles
  • Stocking restrooms. janitorial closets and break rooms
  • Setting up and cleaning after scheduled events
  • Light building maintenance
  • General snow removal and lawn care
  • Google doc and computer experience
  • 1 year of custodial/janitorial experience
  • Clean driving record (due to usage of personal vehicle during scheduled work hours)
  • Must pass a drug test and physical
  • Ability to stand for long periods of time
  • Lift up to 40lbs
