The Avionics Installer supports the installation, removal, testing, and inspection of aircraft avionics and electrical systems. This role works from instructions, drawings, and established procedures to help ensure aircraft systems are installed correctly, safely, and to quality standards.

 



The ideal candidate has hands-on aircraft electrical or avionics experience, strong attention to detail, and the ability to complete work accurately within assigned timeframes.





Key Responsibilities Include:




  • Assist with the installation, removal, modification, and fabrication of aircraft avionics and electrical components.

  • Fabricate, route, install, secure, and terminate wire harnesses and associated electrical equipment.

  • Perform continuity checks, ring-out, and functional testing of avionics/electrical systems.

  • Read and follow blueprints, wiring diagrams, schematics, worksheets, and engineering drawings.

  • Inspect completed work to ensure proper assembly, quality workmanship, and defect-free results prior to final inspection.

  • Maintain required logs, records, work orders, and documentation while completing tasks within assigned timeframes.

  • Follow all safety procedures, FOD prevention, tool control, 5S, and housekeeping standards.



Required Qualifications:




  • High school diploma or GED required.

  • Two years of accredited schooling in aviation electronics or two years of related avionics/electrical work experience; or an avionics certificate from an accredited school and one year of related work experience.

  • Ability to read and interpret basic blueprints, schematic diagrams, wiring diagrams, and work instructions.

  • Knowledge of applicable regulatory requirements, quality standards, and customer specifications.

  • Strong attention to detail, communication skills, basic computer skills, and the ability to read, write, speak, and understand English.



Preferred Qualifications:




  • Previous aircraft avionics installation or aircraft electrical experience.

  • Experience fabricating wire harnesses, performing terminations, ring-out, and functional testing.

  • Familiarity with FOD prevention, tool control, 5S, Garmin avionics, or similar aircraft avionics systems.
