Description
The Director of Evangelism and Missions has a burning passion for the Great Commandment (Matthew 22:37-40) and the Great Commission (Matthew 28: 16-20). He personally and regularly seeks to share the Gospel with those who do not yet know Jesus and is able to articulate the Gospel in a clear, concise, and contextualized way. He is able to equip, train, and mobilize the local church to engage in personal evangelism (and has a track record to indicate this ability) and is able to create a clear, simple pathway to help non-believers hear the Gospel, respond to it, and become a follower of Jesus and part of the community of faith. By helping to create a culture of evangelism at TFCA, this Director, in coordination with the Rector, Executive Director, and Senior Associate Rector, will create the foundations for local and international missions as well as for church planting throughout the DMV area and beyond. This Director will also provide managerial oversight over the programs and staff related to evangelism, local and international missions, and church planting.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Evangelism:
Motivate, equip, train, and mobilize the church to engage in personal evangelism. Oversee, organize, and lead the church’s regular offering of evangelism programs and staff (Examples could include Alpha and Christianity Explored).
Local and International Missions:
As a culture of evangelism is created at TFCA, help the church also engage in local and international missions. Provide oversight and manage the local and international missions programs (Examples include annual churchwide events such as the January “Send” Fair, leading short-term mission trips, and fostering partnerships with local mission groups and international missionaries).
Church Planting:
The result of a culture of evangelism being created at TFCA is the launching of new churches throughout the DMV region and beyond. Through the Timothy Program, this Director, in consultation with Senior Leadership, will help identify, recruit, train, and develop future pastors and church planters.

Ministry Calling
Employees of The Falls Church Anglican come together to serve God, one another, our congregation, our community and our world. As disciples of Christ, our employees steward their responsibilities with care, demonstrating the fruits of the Spirit in their daily responsibilities. We offer a workplace focused on the excellence that glorifies God as we perform our work, both in readiness to do our daily tasks and in embracing and knowing how the Word of God applies as we serve. We also model grace in our interactions, in thankfulness to the grace we are given in Christ.
We do not require all employees to be Anglicans, but because of our essential identity as a community of faith in Jesus Christ, we require all employees to wholeheartedly believe and confess that Jesus Christ is the Way, the Truth, and the Life: no one comes to the Father but by Him. As a community, we submit to the authority of the Holy Scriptures as the standard for Christian faith and life. We uphold the sanctity and dignity of human life, the creation of humankind in God’s image as male and female, and the unchangeable standard of Christian marriage between one man and one woman as the only proper place for sexual intimacy and the basis of the family.
Within this context, we are committed to equality of treatment in hiring and in all employment conditions and opportunities.
