POSITION: Growth and Enrollment Operations Officer

REPORTS TO: Senior Director of Enterprise Operations
SALARY: $65,000 - $75,000
Position Summary
This position is funded through a time-limited grant supporting the successful launch of Great Hearts campuses in Louisiana.
Great Hearts is launching its first public charter school in Lake Charles, Louisiana, opening Fall 2027. The Growth Officer will play a critical, on-the-ground role in establishing the school’s presence, building a strong and sustainable enrollment pipeline, and cultivating deep community relationships that drive long-term success.
This is a highly relational, execution-focused role responsible for local market development, enrollment pipeline ownership, and the end-to-end prospective family experience—from initial awareness through enrollment. The Growth Officer will ensure that every family interaction, partnership, and outreach effort contributes to enrollment growth, community trust, and a high-quality launch.
Alongside the Head of School, the Growth Officer will serve as a visible and trusted representative of Great Hearts in the Lake Charles community, leading grassroots marketing efforts, developing strategic partnerships, and executing enrollment-driven operations that position the school for long-term success.
Duties & Responsibilities
Serve alongside the Head of School as a primary face and trusted representative of Great Hearts in the community
Build and maintain strategic relationships with local businesses, preschools, childcare centers, churches, community organizations, and civic leaders
Represent the school at local events, fairs, and networking opportunities to expand visibility and engagement
Identify and activate community-based opportunities that increase awareness, trust, and enrollment
Develop partnerships that expand enrollment reach, strengthen community credibility, and generate referrals
Create and manage referral pipelines through trusted community partners and organizations
Drive student recruitment and enrollment growth from initial awareness through application and registration
Own and execute a month-by-month enrollment pipeline strategy aligned to enrollment targets
Track, analyze, and report on pipeline health, conversion rates, and enrollment forecasts
Monitor enrollment data and community feedback to inform strategy and drive real-time adjustments
Ensure a seamless, high-quality experience for prospective families from initial inquiry through enrollment, including tours, events, communication, and enrollment system management
Deliver exceptional, mission-aligned family-facing experiences across all interactions and events
Execute grassroots, mission-aligned marketing efforts including events, information sessions, tours, and open houses
Communicate a clear and compelling value proposition to elevate community perception of charter schools
Collaborate with internal teams to align local outreach with broader marketing strategy and goals
Support local talent recruitment efforts by identifying and engaging mission-aligned candidates

Education: Bachelor’s degree required
Experience: 3-7+ years in one or more of the following: enrollment, admissions, recruitment, community engagement or outreach, sales, business development, or marketing.
Special Skills: Proven ability to build relationships and drive outcomes through influence. Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage a pipeline and track metrics. Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills. Entrepreneurial mindset with comfort operating in a startup-like environment.
Additional Requirements
Type of fingerprint clearance: Must possess or obtain valid Arizona Department of Public Safety IVP fingerprint clearance card. Must complete fingerprinting process in Louisiana and pass background checks required by the state.
Physical functions: Requires but is not limited to standing, sitting, repetitious hand and body movements, bending, squatting, and reaching. May be required to move or position equipment up to 15 pounds approximately.
Travel required: Will need a reliable source of transportation for driving in and around the Lake Charles area, as well as Baton Rouge and potentially out of state to current or future Great Hearts locations.
