Northwestern Regional School is nestled in the suburbs of Northwest Connecticut, where students, parents, and staff form a tight-knit community. Regional School District No. 7 comprises four rural-suburban towns: Barkhamsted, Colebrook, New Hartford, and Norfolk. The district, consisting of 157 square miles, is located twenty miles west of Hartford and has a population of approximately 12,700. NWR7 is hiring a full-time High School English teacher to join our team.

Key Responsibilities: 

• Plan and deliver engaging English lessons to high school students
• Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment
• Encourage critical thinking, creativity, and effective communication skills
• Assess student progress and provide constructive feedback
• Participate in school activities and collaborate with colleagues

Qualifications:
 

• Bachelor's degree in English or related field (Master's preferred)
• Teaching certification (015)
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Strong knowledge of CCSS
• Passion for teaching and inspiring young minds
• Commitment to creating an inclusive and supportive learning environment
