Job Summary
Our Lady of the Assumption School is a Catholic Elementary School serving students in Preschool and TK - Grade 8 in the Archdiocese of Los Angeles. OLA provides a faith-based, quality education developing the whole child. We are seeking a dedicated and nurturing Preschool Instructional Aide to join our early childhood education team. The ideal candidate will support the lead teacher in creating a safe, faith-filled, and stimulating environment where young children can grow academically, socially, and spiritually.
Key Responsibilities
Assist in the implementation of daily lesson plans and age-appropriate activities.
Supervise children during classroom time, outdoor play, and meal times to ensure safety.
Provide one-on-one support to students who require extra guidance.
Help maintain a clean, organized, and inviting classroom environment.
Model Christian values and foster a positive, collaborative atmosphere with staff and parents.

Qualifications
Education: A High School diploma or equivalent is required.
Early Childhood Education: Must have completed at least 12 semester units in Child Development or Early Childhood Education (core courses should include Child/Human Growth and Development; Child, Family, and Community; and Program/Curriculum).
Training: Must have completed (or be willing to complete) Live Scan fingerprinting and VIRTUS "Protecting God's Children" training through the Archdiocese of Los Angeles.
Certifications: CPR and First Aid Certification (Preferred); Child Development Associate (CDA) Credential (Preferred).
Skills: Strong interpersonal skills, a good sense of humor, and a genuine interest in working with preschool-aged children.
