ROLE DESCRIPTION 
•    The Tax Manager will oversee the group’s direct tax position across EMEA and Asia, partnering closely with Finance teams to support period‑end close activities, and work on various ad-hoc projects The Tax Manager will report directly to Vice President Tax

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
•    Oversee and be accountable for the direct tax compliance process, including the development, improvement, and documentation of compliance processes and controls
•    Partner with Finance Team for the administration of period end close process, overseeing direct tax accrual process and ensuring relevant deadlines are met
•    Ensure the timely submission and accuracy of direct tax filings prepared by external advisors and maintain documentation of tax registrations and filing positions across group entities and jurisdictions 
•    Manage tax audits and work effectively with internal auditors, external auditors, and external tax advisors
•    Monitor and analyze proposed and newly enacted tax legislation, administrative position, rulings, court cases, for matters that impact the direct tax position of the company, and propose strategic action steps as needed, balancing risk mitigation with costs to the business
•    Evaluate and implement tax technology solutions, where appropriate, to improve efficiency and transparency where needed
•    Manage ad‑hoc direct tax projects from assessment through implementation, providing direct tax advice to business and finance teams
•    Clarify and document the direct tax treatment of new transactions and identify tax obligations arising from activities in new markets

KEY QUALIFICATIONS
•    Extensive experience in international tax environments. Strong analytical and financial modelling skills with a structured approach to problem solving
•    Effective communicator able to build credible relationships across teams and seniority levels
•    Inquisitive, adaptable, and improvement driven with a hands on, solutions oriented mindset
•    Excellent English skills (written & verbal), German is a plus
•    Resilient, collaborative team player, calm under pressure and able to work independently

EDUCATION
•    Certified Swiss tax expert (or equivalent) is a plus

NICE TO HAVE QUALIFICATIONS
•    Experience in the cruise industry is an asset
