Plant Operations Director

Job Description

To manage all operations associated with the physical plant including plant operations, life safety, building and grounds maintenance, security, housekeeping, laundry, purchasing, communications, and mailroom.  Responsible for all aspects of departmental administration including staffing, budgeting, purchasing, policies/procedures, and contract administration and all other duties as required.

Pay based on experience starting at $77,438.40

Responsibilities

Completes evaluations on a timely basis., Conducts appropriate education and training sessions., Conducts customer service surveys, monitors results, and develops action plans to address customer concerns., Conducts departments meetings on a monthly basis, communicates appropriate information., Contains costs by monitoring salary, non-salary, and capital expenses to ensure all expenditures are within budgetary guidelines and goals.  , Defines needs of internal and external customers including patient, physicians, and other employees.,  Develops long-range capital projections relates to infrastructure and security systems and makes recommendations for the planned replacement of unreliable and/or obsolete systems., Ensures assigned departments participate in PI teams, CQI process., Ensures Plant Operations, Housekeeping, Laundry, Purchasing, Communications, and Security staff provide excellent customer service through communication, personal example, and ensuring departmental compliance with customer service standards.  , Ensures Plant Operations, Housekeeping, Laundry, Purchasing, Communications, and Security staff provide excellent customer service through communication, personal example, and ensuring departmental compliance with customer service standards.  , Ensures positive employee climate within assigned departments., Ensures that Joint Commission and other applicable accrediting body standards are met, for assigned departments., Implements quality control measures which ensures positive outcomes on a daily
basis for all patients and/or customers., Initiates operations efficiencies to improve assigned departments., Meets or exceeds customer expectation as measured:

 ·Physicians…satisfaction survey
 ·Employees…satisfaction survey, Meets or exceeds financial budgets for revenues, expenses (including FTE’s) and capital expenditures for assigned department., Provides a safe and secure environment for visitors, patients, employees, staff, physicians, and volunteers.  Monitor, document, and adjust activities of Plant Operations and Security to optimize facility operations and maximize the effectiveness of Security personnel. , Responsible for hiring and terminations in assigned department., Responsible for maintaining staffing levels in or to meet customer needs.  , Responsible for the planning, supervision, coordination and successful execution of all activities related to the department’s
operations., Reviews and revises Policy and Procedure manual annually., Routinely surveys condition and performance of all infrastructure and security related systems to ensure their optimum performance and reliability. , Schedules staff to meet customer needs based on activity and volumes.

Estimated Compensation Range

$77,438.40 - $120,036.80

Pay based on experience

Eligible for participation in Management Incentive Compensation program.
