Job Description
Overview:

Advanced Technologies is seeking a full time Web Developer / Graphic Designer /Document Accessibility Specialist to provide support and maintenance services for existing client's, Alabama State Department of Education (ALSDE), website.



Responsibilities:

The successful candidate would be expected to develop and create the look, layout, and features of the ALSDE website as defined by ALSDE and perform the following:

  • Provide support and maintenance Services for existing ALSDE
  • Development of new website features and functionality as defined by
  • Remediate PDF documents, Word files, Excel spreadsheets, and PowerPoint presentations to meet WCAG 2.1/2.2 AA and PDF/UA standards.
  • Perform any other closely related professional services typically associated with website development, maintenance, and support, including but not limited to activities such as
    • Writing and editing content
    • Document remediation
    • Solving code problems
    • Training
    • Preparation of documentation
    • Other porblem- solving tasks
    • Designing webpage layout 
  • Other duties may be assigned


Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Graphic Design or a related field with two (2) to three (3) years of professional design experience. Portfolio of strong creative work. Experience with HTML, JavaScript, and CSS
