Join our People Hub team as a subject matter expert across the employee lifecycle, delivering a high-quality, responsive service to employees and managers. You’ll provide first-line advisory support on key topics such as sickness absence, probation, and flexible working—using your judgement and policy knowledge to guide effective decisions.

You’ll play a key role in managing our case management system, ensuring work is triaged and allocated efficiently, while taking responsibility for managing complex, confidential and senior queries, supporting senior hires and NED processes.

You will also support the Employee Relations (ER) team with case preparation and documentation, contributing to a seamless and professional employee experience.

You’ll be part of a collaborative, fast-paced People team where your expertise will directly shape the employee experience. If you’re passionate about delivering excellent service and driving continuous improvement, we’d love to hear from you.

What you’ll be doing:

  • Triage and manage incoming cases, allocating work effectively in line with SLAs and team capacity.
  • Provide clear, practical advice to managers across the employee lifecycle on employee matters including sickness absence, probation management and flexible working requests, applying policy, process knowledge and professional judgement to support effective decision-making.
  • Handle complex and senior queries with confidence, ensuring consistent, accurate outcomes.
  • Support investigations and identify root causes to improve the employee experience.
  • Partner with the ER team on case packs, documentation, and note-taking.
  • Maintain data accuracy and compliance across systems, including payroll-impacting activities.
  • Ensure the case management system and SharePoint content are up to date.
  • Support process improvements to enhance efficiency and service delivery
  • Act as an escalation point for RTW, referencing, and GDPR-related queries.

Who we’re looking for:

  • Experience in a similar HR/People role, ideally within a shared services or hub environment.
  • Strong knowledge of the end-to-end employee lifecycle, including ER processes and OH referrals.
  • Confident using HR systems (e.g. Unit4, ServiceNow, SharePoint).
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong attention to detail with a focus on data accuracy and governance.
  • Ability to manage complex queries and adapt processes where needed.
  • Professional, confident communicator—comfortable working with senior stakeholders.
  • Highly organised and proactive, with the ability to prioritise and manage multiple tasks.
