Organ Clinical Coordinator 

If you’ve got experience in critical care experience, consider becoming an Organ Clinical Coordinator! Organ Clinical Coordinators (OCC) manage all aspects of medical management and allocation of organs, as well as a support role in the operating room. This role is essential in organ optimization prior to recovery for transplantation.

  • In this role you would work 12 night shifts a month for 12 hour, on-call shifts (7p-7a) (monthly shifts are self-scheduled, weekend requirements included).
    • 12 hours on-call can turn into longer shifts - Donor Alliance covers two states– Colorado and Wyoming. We service the third largest geographical area of all Organ Procurement Organizations. 
  • Collaboration is essential in this role. Communication between multiple teams within a tight timeframe is challenging and is a vital component of making our mission happen. You will utilize a variety of systems and phone work to communicate amongst the teams. Some of the teams you will collaborate with multiple teams, internally and externally.
  • You will be able to explore a variety of advanced practice skills throughout your tenureExamples: Central and A-Line Placement, Bronchoscopy, Head of Bed, Ventilator Management, Echocardiogram, CT scanner.

Qualifications & Skills 

 
  • Critical care- two years of critical care experience (hemodynamics management, vent exposure/knowledge, patient advocacy.)
  • Relationship Management and Dual Advocacy- ability to advocate for both the donor and potential recipient in difficult situations.
  • Critical Thinking- we face a lot of challenges. Finding a way to find compromises and continue moving the donation process forward is key.

  • $43.04-48.42/hr, experience and education considered in offer
  • Non-exempt (eligible for overtime)
  • Shift Differential: $6/hour, any hours worked between 7p-7a
