Job Description

Please Note: This is a school-based position


Job Summary: Provides a range of psychological assessment, diagnostic, therapeutic, and/or case management services for individuals, couples, groups, and/or families, in an ambulatory clinical setting; collaborating with psychiatric and interdisciplinary team in diagnosis and treatment plan.

Demonstrates Competency in the Following Areas:  

  • Consult with Medical Director and/or Medical Psychologist before decisions are made on questions of interpretation. 
  • Provide knowledge and supporting documentation to supervisor for the development, implementation and evaluating centers annual health care plan. 
  • Provide tracking and maintenance of effective systems of referral lists for obtaining referrals, additional support services, prior authorizations, etc. 
  • Prepare and present monthly reports to supervisor outlining center’s productivity and performance improvement adherence. 
  • Performs studies, analysis and documentation to determine impact for patient care. 
  • Initial assessments, evaluation, diagnoses, treatment follow-up, and education relevant to care. 
  • Accurate and appropriate documentation.  
  • Asset and appropriately documents administration of medication and patient’s response to medication. 
  • Receives physician’s orders, records and assures completion. 
  • Documents care provided to patients and their reaction to care. 
  • Work administratively on the enhancement of the school-based programs under the direction of the Coordinator of Behavioral Health and School-Based Services. 
  • Assist the Outreach and Enrollment Department with back-to-school and health expos. 
  • Other duties as assigned  


Regulatory Requirements:  

  • Master’s degree in social work from accredited university  
  • Valid license to practice as an Licensed Professional Counselor from the LPC Board of Examiners 
  • BLS required  


Desired Skills:   

  • Basic computer knowledge required 
  • Experience with an EMR preferred
