Are you an experienced Housekeeper, looking for a long-term role? At the Hermitage Hotel our Housekeeping team are key to ensuring the guest experience exceeds expectations and our visitors have a clean and comfortable room to go back to after a day of exploring and taking in the views.

With guest stays averaging one to two nights our Housekeeping Attendants work at pace with a high attention to detail and passion for cleanliness to reset rooms and ensure every guest has a fantastic first impression each day. Our team also ensures that public areas in the Hotel, Lodge, Star Gazing, and Airport are clean and maintained to a high standard. 

What you will be doing

  • Performing all housekeeping activities in a timely manner to ensure guest rooms are serviced to the highest standards.
  • Ensuring the hotels public areas and all its services are presented to a consistently high standard
  • Caring about the details by ensuring any room maintenance issues are reported without delay
  • Following our procedures and practices to ensure you and your colleagues are safe, by using the correct cleaning materials and equipment 
  • Restocking trolleys, the linen room, and supply cupboard at the end of each day helping set tomorrow’s team up for success

What you will bring to the role

  • Experience in housekeeping in hospitality, commercial or private home cleaning is essential, with six months experience or more preferred.
  • Flexibility to work rotating shifts, including weekends and public holidays.
  • Excellent attention to detail and a passion to consistently deliver great standards.
  • Effective communication skills and able to converse in English.
  • A collaborative approach and willingness to help others.

The role and benefits 

  • Fulltime and permanent contract, fixed term and seasonal opportunities also available working a minimum of 60 hours per fortnight, at $25 per hour
