Team overview and job responsibilities
We are looking for a Production Manager to join our Manufacturing team. Based in Tetla / Tlaxcala - México, the candidate will be responsible for directing manufacturing processes according to safety and production plans and programs. Coordinating and integrating human and material resources (raw materials, machinery and energy) with the safety of personnel as a priority, achieving compliance with customer requirements with opportunity, with the expected quality and at the lowest cost. In addition to keeping the department's budget within pre-established limits.
Job responsibilities
- Organize their staff to run production operations.
- Ensure that staff follows the procedures established by the Quality Management System in each of the production and inspection processes.
- Ensure that the staff works with all the security measures and correctly uses their personal protective equipment.
- Analyze production results in terms of efficiency, productivity, waste and develop action plans to improve results.
- Coordinate with the support departments to solve problems in the production areas.
- Keeping the production area clean and orderly always, following the 6S's system implemented in the organization.
- Follow up on the daily performance of the production lines in order to ensure adherence and compliance with production schedules.
- Responsible for generating and monitoring an annual training program for its personnel in coordination with Human Resources.
- Responsible for communicating the results of the operation to the personnel in his charge.
- Ensure that the Production Supervisor apply the internal work regulations effectively in order to maintain the discipline of the production personnel.
- Promote a good work environment for employees
- Ensure that risks are determined and managed within the process.
- Determine and ensure that the effectiveness indicators are maintained and / or improved.
- If the results in the indicators are not achieved, implement corrections and / or corrective actions to achieve the planned results.
- Ensure that the non-conformities found in the process under your management are managed (Corrective Actions).
- Ensure that preventive actions are implemented as a result of the trends of the indicators (Efficacy and efficiency).
- Manage the understanding, involvement and operation of the process in all its participants.
- Report to senior management on a monthly basis the results of the process effectiveness and efficiency indicators, as well as, where appropriate, the corrections undertaken when the planned results are not achieved.
- Ensure compliance with the requirements, standards, policies and procedures of the ISO 9001, TL 9000, 5S ́s, LEAN and SIGMA SOS systems, monitoring and promoting their application and observance throughout the Company, in order to align all the activities carried out with the Organizational Culture of the same.
Who are we looking for?
- Bachelor’s degree in production engineering, Electrical Engineering, Electronic Engineering, Industrial Engineering or Mechanical Engineering
- Experience: 5 to 10 years of experience in related positions
- Language: Advanced English (Required)
- Knowledge of government health, safety and environmental laws, production scheduling and control Cable manufacturing production processes.
- Advanced Excel (Required)
- Effective communication, leadership, control, numerical analysis, problem analysis, integrity, planning and organization.
