You’ll also be highly visible. We are currently recruiting for this position, which offers a salary range of $90,000 to $110,000.

This position qualifies for participation in our annual employee bonus program.

You are a strategic thinker and strong communicator who can create a clear social roadmap, execute consistently, and use data to show what’s working and what’s next. 
 
You are a creative doer who knows how to generate, edit, publish, and share daily content, including online and video content, that builds meaningful connections and encourages audiences to act. 
 
You’re comfortable partnering across teams (marketing, solutions, HR, and others) to evaluate needs and coordinate actions. You can communicate technically complex ideas in a simple and straightforward way.
 
You’re naturally curious and externally aware: you monitor industry trends, media coverage, and social activity and you bring insights back to stakeholders to strengthen our presence and performance.
 
What you will do:

In short, you will be responsible for the ongoing management and growth of GS1 US’s organic social media presence in alignment with business strategies and objectives. You will develop and manage diverse social media strategies and programs, improve our ability to measure impact, and drive innovation within the function. 
 
You will report to the Senior Director of Public Relations and work collaboratively with the public relations and marketing teams to achieve superior results. 
 
Here are a few other details:

•    Create and execute organic social media strategy through research, benchmarking, messaging, and audience identification. 
•    Generate, edit, publish, and share daily content, including online and video content, that builds meaningful connections and encourage action.  
•    Optimize company and industry pages within each platform to increase the visibility of GS1 US content. 
•    Create editorial calendars and content schedules. 
•    Manage the employee social media advocacy platform, including onboarding and training staff as needed. 
•    Perform social listening to understand brand perceptions in social channels and respond accordingly. 
•    Continuously capture and analyze social data and metrics, insights, and best practices, and share actionable insights with stakeholders.
•    Collaborate with other departments (marketing, solutions, HR) to evaluate social media needs and coordinate actions. 
•    Monitor GS1 US industry trends, media coverage, and social media, report results to the organization. 
•    Support marketing teams with management of the company speaker bureau program, including researching and tracking speaking opportunities. 
 
What you bring:

•    Bachelor’s degree from a four-year college or university. 
•    Demonstrated social media experience; 5+ years professional experience required; B2B experience preferred. 
•    Proven writing, communication, and web analytics skills. 
•    Experience working with cross-functional teams. 
•    Experience communicating technically complex ideas and issues in a simple and straightforward manner. 
•    Experience working with Hootsuite or other social media platform and Google Analytics. 
•    Experience with web design and developing/editing video content is a plus. 
•    Strong communicator and self-starter; strategic thinker; excellent relationship builder; able to manage multiple projects simultaneously; takes initiative and drives actions; able to quickly learn GS1 US offerings.
 
Travel Requirements:
This position requires up to 5% travel.
