Job Title: Restaurant Service Manager

Overview: We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Restaurant Service Manager to oversee the front-of-house operations and ensure exceptional customer service at our establishment. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, a passion for hospitality, and the ability to maintain high standards of service while fostering a positive work environment.

Responsibilities:

  1. Team Leadership and Development:
    • Recruit, train, and supervise front-of-house staff including servers, hosts/hostesses, and bartenders.
    • Provide ongoing coaching and mentorship to team members to enhance their performance and professional growth.
    • Foster a collaborative and positive work environment, encouraging teamwork and mutual support among staff.
  1. Customer Service Excellence:
    • Set and maintain high standards of customer service, ensuring that guests receive prompt, friendly, and personalized attention.
    • Address any customer complaints or concerns promptly and effectively, striving to resolve issues to the satisfaction of all parties involved.
    • Monitor customer feedback and implement improvements as necessary to enhance the dining experience.
  1. Operational Management:
    • Oversee day-to-day front-of-house operations, including seating assignments, reservation management, and waitlist coordination.
    • Collaborate with the kitchen team to ensure timely and efficient food service, maintaining quality and presentation standards.
    • Manage inventory and supplies for front-of-house operations, optimizing resource utilization and minimizing waste.
  1. Financial Performance:
    • Monitor and analyze sales performance, identifying opportunities to increase revenue and improve profitability.
    • Implement cost-control measures to manage expenses and maximize operational efficiency without compromising service quality.
    • Prepare and manage budgets, forecasting revenue and expenses accurately.
  1. Health and Safety Compliance:
    • Ensure compliance with all health, safety, and sanitation regulations, maintaining a clean and safe environment for both customers and staff.
    • Conduct regular inspections of dining areas and facilities to identify and address any maintenance or safety concerns.
    • Train staff on proper safety protocols and emergency procedures.

 

 

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience in a supervisory or managerial role within the restaurant industry, with a focus on front-of-house operations.
  • Strong leadership abilities, with the ability to motivate and inspire team members to achieve excellence.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with customers, staff, and vendors.
  • Solid understanding of restaurant management software, reservation systems, and point-of-sale systems.
  • Knowledge of food and beverage service techniques, including wine and cocktail service.
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
  • Certification in food safety and/or hospitality management is a plus.
