The Forklift Driver will perform a variety of duties to assist in production areas including operating a forklift to move materials into the appropriate locations. Perform all tasks with safety and quality in mind and in accordance with established procedures and process instructions. Take necessary action to minimize delay time and maximize production.

 

What You'll Do:

 

  • Operate forklift to move raw materials, finished goods, containers, and supplies to appropriate areas.
  • Load and unload trucks, trailers, racks, and containers as required.
  • Transport materials to and from production areas, storage locations, and shipping docks.
  • Supply production lines with required materials in a timely manner.
  • Remove finished product and transport to designated storage or staging areas.
  • Inspect forklift prior to use and report any safety or maintenance concerns.
  • Follow all established safety procedures, including proper use of PPE.
  • Complete material movement tickets and related paperwork accurately.
  • Ensure the good quality and condition of materials being handled.
  • Maintain work area in a clean and orderly manner.
  • Exhibit superior safety practices every day evidenced by outstanding housekeeping at all times.
  • Extend treatment to all other employees of the Company as individuals with the courtesy and dignity shown to customers.
  • Exceed customer quality and service expectations through attention to detail.
  • Exercise maximum care to protect the environment by fostering and supporting responsible operating procedures.
  • Secure proper tools and equipment for each task.
  • Communicate suggestions and recommend solutions to problems to provide for an efficient operation.
  • Approach work assignments in a positive manner and function as a team member.
  • Assist in other areas as needed.
  • Perform other assignments as may be requested.

What We Need from You:

  • Requires ability to read and write, add and subtract, use direct reading and fixed gauges.
  • Up to and including three months experience.
  • Minimum judgment and work with simple equipment.
  • Previous forklift experience preferred.
