The Opportunity
We are seeking a Production Manager to lead flavor manufacturing operations with a strong focus on safety, quality, and operational excellence. This role oversees production, materials management, and distribution—driving performance, efficiency, and continuous improvement across the operation.
What You’ll Do
- Lead and develop production and materials teams in a 24/5, three-shift environment, promoting safety excellence, operational efficiency, and effective change leadership, including rotational Saturday coverage as needed.
- Drive on-time delivery and alignment with customer requirements
- Develop effective partnerships cross-functionally (Procurement, Planning, Quality, EHS) to optimize operations
- Champion Lean Manufacturing (Kaizen, 5S) and continuous improvement initiatives such as operator and leader standard work
- Oversee inventory accuracy, storage optimization, and capacity planning
- Monitor and communicate KPIs to leadership and teams, identify gaps, and implement corrective actions to improve performance
What You Bring
- A minimum of 5–10 years of experience in manufacturing/chemical operations; prior flavor and/or fragrance manufacturing is highly preferred. Experience of managing a team of 40+.
- Proven leadership experience in production and materials management
- Strong knowledge of inventory systems (SAP preferred) & MS Office Suite
- Experience driving change management and safety culture, ideally with experience of high hazard chemicals/ PSM environment.
- Lean/Continuous Improvement experience (Six Sigma/Kaizen a plus)
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering or related field preferred
