Job Description

The Senior Payor Strategy and Network Development Analyst performs data analyses and interprets results using a variety of techniques to support business practices. Responsibilities include but are not limited to creating/developing reports, evaluating contract performance, compiling and monitoring key managed care statistics, and assisting with key projects for the managed care team. Uses a variety of data sources and analysis techniques to support operations, reporting and planning. The Senior Analyst provides recommendations and conclusions gained from analyzing data using statistical methods and tools. Researches best practices, develops benchmarks, and provides dashboard metrics to management leadership. Develops a variety of reporting tools for distribution. Provides input into decisions affecting business operations and strategic initiatives.

Essential Duties:

  • Identify new sources of data and methods to improve data collection, analysis, and reporting.
  • Provides business data trend information to support recommendations for action.
  • Collaborates with management on matters of best practices, appropriate statistical measures and benchmarking.
  • Provides recommendations to management as appropriate.
  • Evaluate and refresh bundle payment pricing.
  • Oversees or performs maintenance and development of databases for collecting data and reporting purposes.
  • Analyze and evaluate payor contract performance to identify opportunities for strategic alignment.
  • Ensures data errors are addressed. Provides technical support and design enhancements.
  • Creates status reports on project plans, progress and results of activities.
  • Ensure compliance with deliverable reporting requirements by performing quality data audits and analysis
  • Demonstrate clear, effective communication, team building, and interpersonal, strong organizational, problem solving decision-making skills.
  • Assures data systems are functioning properly for easy data entry and data retrieval by analyzing data for duplicates, missing info., or other errors (i.e. validate and correct)
  • Produces trend reports and identifies variances to target metrics
  • Create and present payor and provider dashboards.
  • Measure and monitor referral trends for various providers and payors to help inform discussions around provider/payor engagement.
  • Demonstrate self directed learning and participates in continuing education to meet own professional development
  • Demonstrate ability to prioritize and maintained a level-headed approached when faced with unforeseen occurrences.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications:

  • Req Bachelor’s Degree Degree in a related field
  • Req 4 years Experience with data analytics in healthcare or managed care.
  • Req Proficient PC skills and ability to work proficiently with Microsoft Excel, and Word.
  • Req Working knowledge of databases, spreadsheets, word processing and statistical software programs.
  • Req Working knowledge of business statistics and data analyses techniques.
  • Req Previous healthcare experience in HIM/Clinical Revenue Integrity/Revenue cycle.
  • Req Ability to manage and analyze data.
  • Req Strong analytical thinking and problem solving skills.
  • Req Exceptional time management skills with ability to meet tight deadlines.
  • Req Outstanding organizational and problem-solving aptitude.
  • Req Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Req Ability to analyze information and develop comprehensive solutions to address practical work related issues.
  • Req Ability to be organized and simultaneously manage multiple projects.
  • Req Ability to perform well in a team environment, including all levels of staff, to achieve business goals.
  • Req Ability to work independently to meet objectives.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Pref Master’s degree Degree in a related field

Required Licenses/Certifications:

  • Req Fire Life Safety Training (LA City) If no card upon hire, one must be obtained within 30 days of hire and maintained by renewal before expiration date. (Required within LA City only)


 

The annual base salary range for this position is $95,680.00 - $158,230.00.
