Job Description:

Theracare is seeking a Part-Time Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) to join our outpatient pediatric team. This position is ideal for a clinician who enjoys working with children in a collaborative, play-based environment and is available for afternoon and evening hours.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide occupational therapy treatment to pediatric patients under the direction of a licensed Occupational Therapist
  • Implement individualized treatment plans focused on functional skill development, sensory integration, and independence
  • Engage children and families through creative, play-based therapy approaches
  • Accurately document treatment sessions in a timely manner
  • Collaborate with therapists, families, and caregivers to support carryover of skills

Schedule:

  • Part-time
  • Afternoon and evening availability required

 

    Qualifications:

    The Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant would perform skilled direct patient care activities under the clinical supervision of the Occupational Therapist.

    QUALIFICATIONS:

    Graduate of an approved Occupational Therapy Assistant program

    Current or eligible for state license

    Prefer active membership with the American Occupational Therapy Association (not required)

    Prefer minimum one (1) year experience

    New graduates welcome to apply

    Excellent oral, written communication and interpersonal skills
