
Title: General Supervisor, Production

Salary: $105,000 and up depending on experience

Focus: The General Supervisor is responsible for driving operational success through effective leadership, strategic planning, and rigorous adherence to safety and quality standards. The General Supervisor will be supervising and directing the work activities of both salary and hourly employees across a 24/5 schedule in the Centerfire Metallic operations.
General Supervisor, Production Essential Job Functions:
- Lead, mentor, and develop a multi-level leadership structure, including salaried supervisors and hourly team members.
- Champion a safety-first culture, lead root cause analysis for safety and quality-related issues; implement corrective and preventive actions while fostering a culture of continuous improvement and operational excellence.
- Drive change management initiatives by effectively communicating vision, building alignment across leadership levels, and ensuring successful adoption of new processes, technologies, and organizational priorities.
- Establish and maintain preventative maintenance program; Partner with engineering and maintenance teams to lead the installation, startup, and integration of new equipment and processes.
- Develop and implement comprehensive training and development plans that strengthen skillsets and support employee growth; proactively assess staffing needs and implement retention strategies.
- Create, document, and standardize safety and operating procedures ensuring consistency across teams.
- Monitor and manage departmental costs, including overtime, tooling, and resource allocation, ensuring alignment with budgetary targets and efficiency goals.
- Ensure consistent communication, interpretation, and enforcement of company policies and procedures across all levels of the organization to maintain compliance and operational discipline.
General Supervisor, Production Minimum Requirements:
- High School Diploma or Equivalent; Associates or Bachelor's degree* preferred
- Minimum of five (5) years of supervisory experience in a manufacturing environment, including direct leadership of salaried professionals and layered leadership structures.
- Demonstrated experience leading change management initiatives; including driving sustained organizational and operational improvements.
- Proven record in Continuous Improvement initiatives and successful project execution.
- Prior Winchester experience preferred.
Location-Specific Requirements:
- This position requires successful vetting as an Employee Possessor in accordance with U.S. Department of Justice and the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives.
- This position requires access to ITAR controlled technical data, and as such, employment will be contingent upon the candidate's ability to access ITAR controlled technical data pursuant to an export license approved by the Directorate of Defense Trade Controls, if required.
