  • Assist the Food Service Manager in planning, preparation, serving, and clean-up of daily meals for campers and staff
  • In the absence of the Food Service Manager, supervise the kitchen staff and kitchen operations
  • Directly oversees the inventory of supplies and food and reports any needed items to the Food Service Manager for re-order
  • Assist the Food Service Manager in working and preparing the kitchen staff schedule.
  • Ensure that all food service preparation, storage, and serving areas are in an orderly and sanitary condition, while adhering to all local state and federal laws/regulations
  • Identify, minimize, and eliminate, where possible, any risks that could cause accidents
  • Interpret safety and health standards to food service staff
  • Perform all other duties as assigned by the supervisor

Requirements

  • Must be 21 years old and prior experience with youth and/or a food service setting is preferred
  • Previous kitchen experience strongly preferred; Safe Serve Certification strongly preferred.
  • Preferred applicants will be available for the duration of summer camp, June 14-August 15
