Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and enthusiastic Cheese Spread Maker to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for producing our signature cheese spreads, ensuring consistent quality, flavor, and adherence to food safety standards. This role requires a blend of culinary expertise, attention to detail, and a passion for cheese.
Essential Functions and Responsibilities:
- Production:
- Prepare and blend cheese spreads according to established recipes and production schedules.
- Accurately measure and combine ingredients, ensuring precise proportions and consistent flavor profiles.
- Operate and maintain cheese processing equipment, including mixers, blenders, and scales.
- Monitor and control product quality throughout the production process.
- Maintain accurate production records, including ingredient usage, batch numbers, and production times.
- Quality Control:
- Conduct visual inspections and taste tests to ensure product consistency and quality.
- Adhere to strict food safety and sanitation guidelines, including proper handling and storage of ingredients and finished products.
- Monitor and maintain proper temperatures and humidity levels in production and storage areas.
- Identify and report any quality issues or deviations from established standards.
- Inventory and Ordering:
- Assist in inventory management of raw materials and finished products.
- Communicate with the purchasing department regarding ingredient needs and reordering.
- Ensure proper rotation of stock to maintain freshness and prevent spoilage.
- Sanitation and Safety:
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment, following all sanitation and safety protocols.
- Adhere to all company and regulatory food safety standards (e.g., HACCP).
- Properly clean and sanitize equipment and work surfaces.
- Follow all safety procedures and wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE).
Required Qualifications:
- Experience in food production, or general knowledge of food preparation.
- Strong understanding of food safety and sanitation principles.
- Ability to follow recipes and instructions accurately.
- Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to quality.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills.
- Basic math skills for measuring and calculating ingredients.
- Culinary training or certification is a plus.
- A passion for cheese.
Physical Requirements:
- Work 8-hour shifts
- Wear hair/beard net, gloves, ear plugs, safety glasses and other personal protective equipment as required.

Education:
High school or equivalent
Experience:
- Manufacturing: 1 year (Preferred)
- Food production: 1 year (Preferred)
- Assembly: 1 year (Preferred)
Language:
English and Spanish (Preferred)
