As a Quality Engineer Sr, this position supports manufacturing process and product quality by applying Goodyear standards, procedures, and quality engineering tools to solve problems in a production environment. The role leverages a strong understanding of internal and external customer and supplier requirements to improve customer satisfaction, process capability, and overall product performance. Serving as a technical content expert, the incumbent coaches and guides others in applying effective technical solutions, Plant Optimization (PO) methods, and data-driven problem-solving approaches. The position also leads product and process improvements, anticipates and mitigates risks, and ensures solutions meet defined business and quality objectives.

What You Will Do
Ensures robust new tire launches by aligning with NPI development, design-for-uniformity principles, and process concepts that enable consistent, high-quality tire releases.
Safeguards product and process quality by ensuring GQMTS and QAI alignment with local procedures, leading LPAs, FMEA, and Control Plan execution while reinforcing adherence to quality fundamentals.
Drives a strong quality culture by leading plant-wide quality initiatives, empowering associates through training, and promoting “speak up” behaviors when standards or processes are at risk.
Improves operational performance by leading waste-reduction and process-control initiatives, leveraging PO pillars and cross-functional collaboration to strengthen process capability across the plant.
What We’re Looking For
Bachelor’s degree in Science/Technology/Engineering/Math.
3.5 or more years’ experience required.
Desired knowledge of ISO 9001. ISO 14001, ISO 45001.
