Job Description

Title: Child Care Worker

Reports to:  Preschool Ministries Assistant

 

Summary:

Serves as a member of the Family Ministry staff and is supervised by the Care Coordinator or Reilly Road Admin & PMO Coordinator.  The Child Care Worker will work with the Care Coordinator or Reilly Road Admin & PMO Coordinator to provide a meaningful experience for the families of Village Baptist Church and our communities of Fayetteville and Fort Liberty by helping to care for children.

 

It is desirable that church employees consistently attend worship service (virtually or physically) on a regular basis. By doing so, he/she will be more in touch with the life, activities, and patterns of Village Baptist Church.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Provide age-appropriate care which includes, but is not limited to, changing diapers, maintaining a safe environment, etc.
  • Cheerfully interact with the children through games, songs, play, and prayer.
  • Be polite and friendly to all children, parents, and co-workers.
  • Sanitize all toys/cribs/equipment after each event/day.
  • Keep rooms tidy, straightened and ready for the next event/day.
  • Communicate in advance to the Preschool Ministries Assistant any planned absences with an advance two-week notice or any unplanned absences at least two hours prior to the scheduled shift.
  • Perform any other duties as needed by the Preschool Ministries Assistant.  

 

Preferred:

  • CPR/First Aid Certified, (If certification is not current, we request recertification within 30 days of employment).
  • 2 years of child care experience.
