Are you dedicated to maintaining a safe, secure, and structured environment where healing can take place? Lenape Valley Foundation’s newest program, the Bright Path Center, is seeking vigilant and dependable Safety Officers to support the safety and well‑being of our individuals, staff, and facility. In role, you will respond to safety concerns with professionalism and respect, helping ensure a calm and therapeutic setting. This position offers a unique opportunity to be part of a new program from the ground up, with both full‑time and part‑time shifts available.

What You Bring

  • Two or more years in security, law enforcement, or military police
  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Valid Driver’s License
  • Computer proficiency and ability to respond quickly in emergencies
  • Ability to stand for long periods and patrol outdoors, including overnight and in inclement weather
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Dependable, alert, and committed to safety
  • Ability to meet the physical demands of the role, with or without accommodation

 

 

Your Role

  • Ensure the safety and security of Lenape Valley Foundation’s employees, clients, and property.
  • Monitor and control facility access; serve as point of contact for visitors.
  • Conduct routine building and perimeter checks per organizational protocols for safety and environmental hazards.
  • Maintain active presence within and around the facility, ensuring ongoing awareness of safety concerns.
  • Identify, secure, and ensure proper handling of contraband items in accordance with policy and procedures. 
  • Respond to behavioral escalations and crises using approved de-escalation techniques.
  • Support clinical staff in maintaining a safe and therapeutic environment
  • Respond to all alarms (security, HVAC, fire), alerts, and emergency codes
