Purpose of Job: 



Purpose: 



To provide leadership, direction, quality assurance, and accountability for the Standards Based Instruction (SB) including, but not limited to,  the development and implementation of GOAL’s instruction, facilitating ongoing teacher education, continuous improvement of tools and practices, and alignment with academic standards, advisory recommendations and industry standards and norms; as well as building and maintaining external relationships with external stakeholders.

Essential Duties   



The Standards Based Instruction Coordinator (SB) focuses on student mastery of grade-level content standards and are prepared for advancing coursework and post-secondary success.  





  • Program Implementation & Support: Lead and manage the day-to-day operations of assigned programming, evaluating consistent implementation, continuity, and alignment with school, state, and organizational expectations.  







  • Develop and maintain the annual revision of GOAL course content and offerings, including, but not limited to, alignment with up-to-date training materials, review of adjusted content for quality and alignment, and assurance of clear organized materials.  







  • Develop and maintain equitable access and opportunity for all GOAL stakeholders to achieve success.  







  • Staff Training & Support: Train, coach, and support staff through onboarding, professional development, feedback, and ongoing guidance.  







  • The coordinator is responsible for ensuring the up-to-date accuracy and alignment of the program materials available to all staff.  







  • Support the development and implementation of GOAL's New Hire Orientation, including, but not limited to, staff participation, quality of content and experience, and long-term success of new staff.  







  • Quality Assurance & Continuous Improvement: Monitor program quality, instructional alignment, and effectiveness; use data, feedback, and evaluation processes to guide improvements.  







  • Develop and maintain processes to gather and analyze data for program evaluation and needs assessments for program planning and improvement.  







  • Systems, Resources & Operations Management: Manage platforms, tools, resources, and documentation necessary to support effective programming.  







  • Maintain and manage proper coverage of ATSB programming throughout the school year. GOAL does not provide substitute coverage for academic support team staff on PTO or leave.  







  • Manage and support troubleshooting for users of GOAL’s learning platforms, including, but not limited to, course and instructional functionality, quality end user experience, and user account support. While GOAL IT manages our platform integrations, it is the responsibility of the coordinator to know each of the platforms used in their programming as an expert to provide direct support to TOSAs, teachers, and the IT team.  







  • Collaboration & Communication: Communicate clearly and consistently with staff and identified stakeholders; collaborate across departments; and build strong relationships to support alignment, shared understanding, and effective program implementation.  







  • Collaborate with regional and statewide leadership to continuously improve ATSB programming for GOAL.  







  • Establish effective liaison with the various offices, organizations and agencies within GOAL and the community that may provide platforms, content, or professional support to the school. This includes, but is not limited to, contract negotiations, financial processes to secure services, and working with external stakeholders to ensure the continuous improvement of the school.

Minimum Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: 





  • Must reside in Colorado 







  • Must have a valid driver's license 





 



Education  





  • Bachelor’s degree in education or relevant field required.  







  • Master’s degree in education or relevant field preferred.  







  • Colorado Department of Education License, Secondary (K-12 or 7-12) Teacher, CTE Director, Principal or Administrator, required.  





 



Experience  





  • Five years of instructional experience working in a school or district is required.  







  • Two years of experience in school leadership preferred.
