The Temporary Records Specialist provides administrative and clerical support within a medical office setting to ensure efficient daily operations. This role focuses on document management, data entry, and general office assistance while maintaining strict confidentiality of patient information. Essential Functions
- Scan, organize, and digitally archive patient and departmental documents in accordance with office procedures
- File physical and electronic medical records accurately while maintaining compliance with privacy standards
- Perform data entry tasks with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail
- Assist with retrieval of medical records and documentation requests
- Support clinical and administrative staff with clerical duties as needed
- Maintain confidentiality of sensitive patient and organizational information
- Perform general office tasks such as copying, printing, and sorting mail
- Assist with special projects and additional duties as assigned
Qualifications
- Proficiency in basic computer applications (e.g., Microsoft Office Suite)
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in data handling
- Ability to follow instructions and work independently
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
Work Environment
- Medical office setting with routine use of standard office equipment (computers, scanners, printers)
- May require sitting for extended periods and occasional lifting of files or boxes up to 20 pounds
- Exposure to confidential patient information requiring adherence to privacy regulations
