We are seeking an Ophthalmic Associate to join our patient care team. Our ideal candidate passion for healthcare and learning. We are willing to provide on-the-job training and experience to the right candidate as they work towards a career path of an ophthalmic technician or scribe. In this role, your primary tasks are to assist the providers with diagnostic and treatment-oriented procedures, Patient history, Patient Work Up and administrative tasks.  This is a floating position between locations Tunkhannock, Montrose and Mid Valley based on the needs of the business.  Travel Time and Mileage are paid.



Responsibilities:

What You Will Do:

  • Take medical histories and verify information
  • Perform visual function and diagnostic tests, such as  tonometry, Visions, ERG, Neurolens
  • Utilize tools such as a Humphrey field analyzer and OCT to take eye measurements
  • Inform the ophthalmologist about changes to a patient's visual acuity and other vision issues
  • Contact lens teaches
  • Explain how to properly use eye drops 
  • Explain how to properly use contact lensesssist with inventory management


Qualifications:
