JOB SUMMARY:
The Web Content and Accessibility Strategist leads the strategy, user experience, and continuous improvement of the Bellin College website. Serving as the website’s product owner, this role sets priorities, manages content initiatives, and ensures the site effectively supports enrollment goals, institutional branding, and student engagement.
Working collaboratively within the Marketing Department, this position oversees the full web content lifecycle—from planning and creation to publishing, analytics, and optimization—while advancing the College’s commitment to accessibility, inclusive design, and innovation. The role partners closely with internal stakeholders to deliver clear, consistent, and user-centered digital communication that aligns with Bellin College’s mission and strategic goals.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Education – Licensures:
Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, web or graphic design, digital design, strategic marketing or communication or related communication or business field. Master’s degree preferred.
Experience:
A minimum of four to six years’ experience in web content development and management experience. Advanced proficiency in HTML, CSS and JavaScript; experience with CMS platforms (WordPress or similar).
Knowledge:
Knowledgeable about the regional community. Working knowledge of public relations tactics, communication strategy, social media management and integrated marketing communication trends a must.
ABILITY AND CHARACTERISTICS:
Strong understanding of accessibility standards (Section 508, WCAG) and inclusive design practices. Excellent writing, editing, and proofreading skills. Experience with web analytics tools and SEO optimization. An interest in learning and applying emerging trends in website personalization and AI-powered content delivery. Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines. Experience in higher education or healthcare marketing is a plus. Strong attention to detail and organizational skills a must. Flexible, works well under pressure, demonstrates initiative, self-directed. Must be organized, attentive to detail, have the ability to maintain accurate records exercising discretion with confidential information.
