Job Description
 As an Industrial Painter at FS-Elliott, you will play a key role in preparing and applying protective coatings to industrial equipment and components. This position requires a detail-oriented individual with experience in surface preparation, paint application, and industrial coating processes. You’ll work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment where safety and quality are top priorities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare surfaces by cleaning, sanding, and performing other prep work to ensure proper coating adhesion 
  •  Apply primers, paints, and industrial coatings using spray guns, rollers, or brushes according to specifications 
  •  Inspect finished work for quality, including thickness, coverage, and overall finish 
  •  Maintain and clean painting equipment to ensure proper operation 
  •  Follow all safety procedures, including proper use of PPE and compliance with environmental regulations 
  •  Accurately document completed work and report any issues 
  •  Collaborate with production teams to meet deadlines and quality standards

Skills, Knowledge and Expertise

  • Minimum of 2 years of industrial painting experience, preferably in a manufacturing or production environment 
  •  Knowledge of industrial coatings and surface preparation techniques (e.g., sandblasting, power washing) 
  •  Ability to safely operate spray equipment and painting tools 
  •  Strong attention to detail with a focus on quality workmanship 
  •  Ability to stand for extended periods and perform physical tasks such as lifting, bending, and climbing 
  •  High school diploma or equivalent required; technical or vocational training is a plus
