POSITION:  HSU Workstudy - (Off-Campus) Alliance for Women and Children

DEPARTMENT: Off-Campus Alliance for Women and Children

SUPERVISOR TITLE:  Alliance for Women and Children

FLSA STATUS:  Non-Exempt

EXEMPTION:  N/A

LOCATION:  Abilene

SUMMARY/SCOPE: After School Care (ASC) Mentor is a fun,
flexible part-time, position, Monday - Friday 2:30-6, with flexibility for
college schedules. NO NIGHTS OR WEEKENDS! The purpose of the position is to
provide direct care to the children enrolled in Alliance After School Care and
supervise elementary age children at the elementary school each day. 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: 

Engage and supervise children
while providing a safe, fun, structured environment, that follows Alliance
and Child Care Regulation standards.

Comply with Alliance ratio
policies.

Maintain positive communication
with children, parents, guardians, school faculty, and leadership team.

Work in a team environment,
following the lead of the On-Site Director and leadership team, while
maintaining a positive working relationship with all co-workers.

Complete all required
documentation as directed by the On-Site Director including behavior
reports, incident reports, quiet time reports, free time reports, surveys,
and timesheets.

Properly maintain a clean and
well-kept site in accordance with Alliance and Child Care

Regulation
standards and requirements.

Adhere to policies and
procedures of the organization, including those related to health and
safety, client confidentiality and quality management.

Use fun and engaging
age-appropriate activities to support child development.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:

Highschool diploma or equivalent.

Undergo and pass FBI
fingerprint, central registry, and criminal background checks and maintain
a clear record during employment with the Alliance.

Obtain and maintain current CPR
and First Aid certification within 30 days of hire.

Attend all mandatory trainings
on Child Care Regulation requirements of the Texas Department of Family
and Protective Services.
