Requirements

This role is expected to work in EST.

We are seeking a senior-level SEO leader who embraces AI as the future of search and actively uses AI tools in their daily workflow. You must be passionate about AI, comfortable coding with LLMs like Claude or ChatGPT, and excited about the transformation happening in search. Traditional SEO tactics are not enough anymore - we need someone who thinks AI-first.

Key Responsibilities

Strategy & Execution

  • Develop and implement advanced SEO strategies with heavy emphasis on AI search optimization

  • Use AI tools to analyze algorithm updates and predict impacts

  • Personally manage and execute strategy for high-value enterprise accounts

  • Build AI-powered competitive analysis frameworks

AI Search Leadership

  • Design strategies for Google SGE, AI Overviews, and LLM-driven discovery (ChatGPT, Claude, Perplexity)

  • Required: Use Claude, Cursor, or similar AI coding tools to automate SEO workflows

  • Create prompt engineering frameworks for search optimization

  • Lead entity SEO, knowledge graph optimization, and semantic search initiatives

  • Stay ahead of AI search developments and implement cutting-edge strategies

Client Leadership

  • Join client calls alongside the Customer Success team to present strategy and performance

  • Educate C-suite executives on AI transformation in search

  • Build confidence in AI-first approaches while delivering results

People Leadership

  • Manage, mentor, and develop SEO team members (3–5+)

  • Train team on AI tool adoption and best practices

  • Ensure team is using modern AI-powered approaches, not outdated tactics

Thought Leadership

  • Contribute to internal and external thought leadership around AI search

  • Help evolve company methodologies to stay ahead of the AI curve

Required Skills & Experience

SEO & Technical Expertise

  • Expert-level technical SEO knowledge (crawling, indexing, Core Web Vitals, structured data)

  • Must have: Daily experience using AI coding assistants (Claude, Cursor, GitHub Copilot)

  • Deep understanding of modern AI search systems (LLMs, vector databases, RAG, semantic search)

  • Proven experience with enterprise SEO and large-scale optimization

AI Tools & Platforms (Required)

  • AI Assistants: Active use of Claude, ChatGPT, or similar for problem-solving

  • Coding with AI: Ability to write Python/JavaScript using AI assistants

  • SEO Tools: Search Atlas Suite, Screaming Frog, plus modern AI-powered tools

  • Analytics: GA4, GSC API, BigQuery (bonus: using AI for data analysis)

Leadership & Communication

  • Experience managing SEO teams of 3–5+ people

  • Strong client-facing presentation skills

  • Ability to translate complex AI concepts into actionable insights

  • Comfort with executive stakeholder management

  • Focus solely on traditional keyword research and link building

$28.85 - $40 USD an hour
