Job Description

Job Summary

The Production Employee - PVC supports all aspects of PVC window and door production, including cutting, welding, assembly, glazing, and finishing. This role focuses on following instructions, maintaining quality standards, and working safely as part of a team to meet daily production targets. This is a temporary full-time contract position ending in October 2026.

 

Responsibilities

Material Handling & Workflow

  • Stage, organize, and move PVC materials and components to support daily production.
  • Keep work areas stocked and ensure materials are in the right place at the right time.

 

Production Support (Cutting, Assembly & Glazing)

  • Assist with cutting, welding, and assembling PVC components following standard procedures.
  • Support glazing and finishing tasks, including installing glass, bulbing, and screening.
  • Install basic hardware and components as directed.

 

Finishing & Quality Checks

  • Perform basic finishing tasks and prepare products for the next stage of production.
  • Check work for visible defects and report any issues to the supervisor.

 

Safety & Teamwork

  • Follow all health and safety procedures and use required PPE.
  • Keep your work area clean and organized.
  • Work as part of a team to meet daily production goals and communicate any issues.

 

Requirements

  • Previous manufacturing or production experience is an asset but not required.
  • Willingness to learn and follow instructions.
  • Basic comfort using hand tools.
  • Attention to detail and reliability.
  • Ability to lift up to 40 pounds safely.
  • Ability to stand for extended periods during shifts.
