Description
The Inventory Cycle Counter will be responsible for performing regular cycle counts, verifying inventory levels, and ensuring accurate stock records in our manufacturing facility. This role is crucial for maintaining efficient operations and supporting our commitment to quality and reliability. The ideal candidate will have strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and experience in inventory management.
Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities:
- Conducts regular cycle counts to ensure accuracy of inventory levels for raw materials, components, and finished products.
- Compares counted quantities with inventory records, investigate discrepancies, and implement corrective actions as needed.
- Collaborates with warehouse and production teams to reconcile inventory variances and improve stock accuracy.
- Assists with receiving operations and picking of materials as needed.
- Assists in maintaining inventory management systems and updating records in real-time.
- Generates reports on inventory status, including discrepancies, adjustments, and trends for management review.
- Participates in annual physical inventory counts and support the inventory reconciliation process.
- Identifies opportunities for process improvements to enhance inventory accuracy and efficiency.
- Supports training for warehouse staff on inventory management best practices and procedures.
- Ensures compliance with safety and operational protocols in all inventory-related activities.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent; associate’s degree Logistics, or a related field is a plus.
- Previous experience in inventory management or cycle counting in a manufacturing or warehouse environment.
- Strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills.
- Proficient in inventory management software and Microsoft Office Suite (especially Excel).
- Good analytical and problem-solving abilities, with the capability to interpret data effectively.
- Strong communication skills to collaborate with cross-functional teams.
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to work in manufacturing/warehouse environment, including standing and walking for up to 12 hours per day.
- Ability to lift, push or pull up to 30 lbs.
- Ability to stoop, kneel, bend on occasional basis
- Ability to reach above shoulder and below waist frequently
- Required to use hands to grasp, lift, handle, carry or feel objects repetitively on a frequent basis
- SAP experience
- Forklift Certification and experience
- Experience driving a stand-up forklift
