Job Description Summary:

The Technical Service Representative (TSR) supports Aviagen Turkeys’ commitment to delivering genetic excellence and customer success. This role provides hands-on technical support to customers with an emphasis on turkey breeder production within the assigned region. There is the potential to undertake some sales responsibilities to drive performance, and support business growth. The TSR works collaboratively with the VP of Technical Services and the cross-functional team to implement customer-focused action plans that enhance product performance and increase market share.

Job Description:

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute regional service plans aligned with company objectives and sales strategies.
  • Identify, prioritize, and support key accounts to strengthen and build relationships and drive growth.
  • Provide technical expertise focused mainly in turkey breeder production.
  • Monitor flock performance, maintain accurate tracking records, and identify factors influencing breed choice and customer performance.
  • Develop and implement customer action plans and husbandry recommendations.
  • Trouble-shoot performance challenges through structured, data-driven approaches.
  • Provide professional written reports and presentations.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in poultry production, hatchery operations, or related field; BS degree preferred.
  • Strong understanding of poultry husbandry with an emphasis on breeders.
  • Demonstrated ability to develop and implement customer action plans.
  • Strong organizational, time management, and conflict resolution skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including presentation and negotiation skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint), databases, and performance/economic modeling tools.
  • Ability to travel extensively within the region.
  • Valid driver’s license and vehicle meeting company program requirements.
