Job Description

Job Summary

St. Francis Borgia Grade School is a Catholic parish school of the Archdiocese of St. Louis. We are dedicated to serving children and families by providing a Christ-centered learning environment where students grow in faith, knowledge, and character.

St. Francis Borgia Grade School is seeking a full-time Nurse to serve during the school year. This position supports students' health and well-being during the school day and helps ensure a safe and caring school environment. The standard hours for this role are 7:30 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. on school days. This is a full-time position and may be eligible for benefits in accordance with Archdiocesan policies.

Job Responsibilities

  •  Be available to work during school hours from 7:30 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.
  • Provide first aid, administer medications, and care for students with acute or chronic health needs
  • Monitor and respond to student illnesses and injuries, and determine when additional medical care is needed
  • Accurately document student health office visits, medications administered, and incidents according to school policy
  • Communicate appropriately with school staff and families regarding student health concerns
  • Maintain confidentiality regarding student health records and information
  • Support a safe, caring, and professional school environment

Job Requirements

  • Experience working with children preferred
  • Experience in a school or pediatric setting preferred
  • Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to exercise sound judgment in responding to student health needs
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with school staff while maintaining confidentiality
