UW Medical Center-Northwest - Intensive Care Unit (ICU) has an outstanding opportunity for a Night Shift Registered Nurse.

WORK SCHEDULE

  • 36 hours per week

  • 3x12 shift schedule

  • Night shifts (7:00pm-7:30am)

  • Must be available to work weekend shifts


ABOUT OUR ICU

  • We are a general medical ICU offering cardiac, neuro, respiratory, and post-surgical monitoring

  • We offer 15 individual rooms for patients

  • We consistently hold 1:2 nurse to patient ratios

  • Our RNs work in close partnership with our intensivists, physicians, and certified nursing assistants


POSITION HIGHLIGHTS

  • Provide life-saving care to patients

  • Join a close-knit ICU that values camaraderie and collaboration


PRIMARY JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Work alongside physicians, intensivists, social workers, and care managers

  • Follow evidence-based nursing practices

  • Provide bedside for critically ill patients, including those admitted for septic shock, post-cardiac arrest, acute respiratory failure, and strokes

  • Monitor and administer medications and IVs

  • Provide personalized care with compassion, dignity, and respect


REQUIREMENTS

  • 1 year of recent ICU nursing experience, or equivalent nursing experience on a high acuity critical care unit

  • BLS

  • ACLS

  • Active licensure to practice as a Registered Nurse in Washington State

Compensation, Benefits and Position Details

Pay Range Minimum:

$45.59 hourly

Pay Range Maximum:

$83.64 hourly

Other Compensation:

BSN (or higher) premium - $1.00/hour Certification premium - $1.25/hour Night premium - $5.00/hour Weekend premium (Fridays and Saturdays) - $4.00/hour Sunday night premium - $3.00/hour Overtime pay
