PMTS Silicon Design Engineer-Architecture
THE ROLE:
This is a leadership role in System on Chip requirement definition, feature architecture and silicon based mechanism construction focused on GPU performance, power and cost metrics. You will work with business owners, system/software architects, manufacturing and design to understand their requirements for the SOC/software and work with domain architects, SOC & IP design and post-silicon teams to define and develop the features needed. As a second part you will take care of the structural architecture of the semiconductor device regarding power supply, clocking, timing, interfaces, boot and reset sequences. You will be expected to mentor team member in systemic way and culture building. At program level you will act as a contact person and representative to query/drive alignments with executive and technical stakeholders for technical development.
THE PERSON:
The person needs to be well self-motivated for deliveries and innovation, technical leadership/mentorship demonstration, also with good communication skills.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Primary technical contact for OSS IPs
- Refine Business Unit and System Architecture provided requirements and use cases into SOC features and IP/Domain requirements, to be maintained in the Product Requirements Specification.
- Pro-actively works with peer architects, pre- and post-silicon teams to scope the required features and concept its implementation.
- Defines and documents the IP Micro-Architecture, electrical specifications and logical structures.
- Supports and interfaces to Platform, Firmware and Software design.
- Quantify impacts of any bugs, fixes and changes in concept, architecture or design.
- Represent the IP team to executive management from a technical perspective.
PREFERRED EXPERIENCE:
- Graphics / Compute Processing, x86 Platform, Standard Interfaces Knowledge
- Logic, Electrical or Physical ASIC or IP Design Knowledge and Skills
- System on Chip Structures, Embedded Processors and Firmware Knowledge
- SOC Virtualization, RAS, Security
- Fluent English for both verbal and written for global teams’ communication.
ACADEMIC CREDENTIALS:
- Bachelor with (15+ for PMTS, 20+for Fellow) years’ experience.
- Master with (12+ for PMTS, 18+for Fellow) years’ experiences.
