Job Description
Role: Sales Manager - Residential

Position Overview: The Residential Sales Manager is responsible for leading and executing the day-to-day performance of a team of solar sales representatives. This hands-on role focuses on driving revenue through active coaching, pipeline management, and direct involvement in closing deals and supporting reps in the field. The manager ensures consistent achievement of weekly and monthly targets by monitoring key performance metrics and developing team capabilities through training and mentorship. This is a highly execution-focused leadership position with direct impact on sales results and team success.

Key Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Lead and manage a team of residential solar sales representatives.
- Drive daily sales execution to meet weekly and monthly quotas; actively assist in closing deals including providing in-field support.
- Monitor and manage individual and team pipelines, including lead flow and follow-up processes, to ensure consistent revenue generation.
- Track, analyze, and forecast sales performance, including rep activity, sit rates, close rates, battery attachment rates, referral/self-generated leads, and revenue per rep.
- Provide hands-on coaching through ride-alongs, call reviews, and real-time deal support.
- Conduct sales training, workshops, and ongoing performance development for team members.
- Recruit, interview, onboard, and train new sales representatives.
- Conduct regular performance evaluations and maintain accountability for individual and team results.
- Implement short-term sales strategies, including sales team promotions and challenges.
- Collaborate with operations and internal teams to ensure alignment on sales processes, installation timelines, and overall customer experience.
- Coordinate internal resources to support efficient sales execution and consistent results.
- Represent Earthlight at various events and trade shows throughout the year.
- Promote a high standard of customer experience and support reps in building strong, lasting customer relationships.

Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
- Minimum 3 years of experience as a Sales Manager, preferably in residential solar or direct sales.
- Strong knowledge of solar sales, team leadership, and overall business operations, including an understanding of competitive strengths and market dynamics.
- Proven ability to lead, coach, and develop sales teams, including hiring, onboarding, and performance management.
- Solid closing skills and the ability to support reps in live sales situations when needed.
- Comfortable using data to track performance, manage pipelines, and improve results.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with a hands-on, team-first leadership style.
- Organized, dependable, and able to delegate effectively while holding team members accountable.
- Professional, approachable, and confident in working with customers, team members, and partners.
- Proficient in basic business tools (spreadsheets, reporting, and communication software).
- Able to handle customer concerns and day-to-day challenges in a practical, solutions-oriented way.
- Salesforce CRM experience strongly preferred.

Compensation: Fully commissioned position ($135,000 - $230,000+; $180,000 OTE); Company vehicle with gas card provided
