Description
Role and Responsibilities:
- Be able to operate a tractor-trailer in a safe manner to deliver and pickup electrical equipment. This position will average approximately 2,500 miles per week.
- Physically assist with loading and unloading equipment; ensure the load being hauled is properly secured with straps, chains, etc.
- Maintain compliance with Federal DOT regulations (Log Books, etc.) as well as neat and proper completion of Solomon Corporation load documentation (Load sheets, manifests, etc.)
- Insists on safety as job number one.
Requirements
Qualifications and Education Requirements:
- Class A CDL, required
- Three years safe driving record, required
- Hazmat endorsement , required
- Experience in completing loading and unloading paperwork, preferred
- Knowledge of electrical equipment, manufacturing operations and logistics, preferred
- Requires ability for overnight travel.
