About the role
Fuller Technologies’ Plant Services department is seeking a Field Engineer to provide entry-level on-site support for its cement business across the Americas. The role involves assisting with installation, commissioning, maintenance, operation, and training for FULLER and other vendor equipment. Working as a Junior Engineer within a multidisciplinary team, you will support both new installations and existing production lines to ensure safe and efficient plant operations. The position requires frequent travel to customer sites, including planned visits and occasional short-notice assignments.
About the Department
The Fuller Americas Plant Services department is a regionally based team of field engineers providing technical advisory services onsite and remotely to the cement industry throughout the Americas. This multidisciplined team is comprised of engineers of all backgrounds including, mechanical, civil, electrical, automation and chemical with years of in-field experience at operating cement plants. The group mission is to provide sustainability and productivity solutions, through expert technical guidance and training across the entire cement flow sheet; supporting FULLER key customers, from installation, through commissioning, maintenance and optimization.
Responsibilities
- Provide support across multiple product lines within assigned projects, including:
- Crushing systems (crushers, sizers, screens)
- Material handling equipment (stackers, reclaimers)
- Grinding systems (vertical roller mills, bag filters, and auxiliaries)
- Pyro systems (preheaters, kilns, burners, and coolers)
- Balance technical execution with leadership responsibilities, ensuring alignment with project budgets and targets
- Collaborate with technical teams in the field as well as stakeholders at leadership level
- Work as part of a mechanical engineering team to ensure successful and timely job execution
- Evaluate quality issues across equipment, systems, and overall project scope
- Coordinate with headquarters to obtain technical support and solutions when required
- Identify potential opportunities for Fuller Technologies products and service offerings
- Plan and organize field activities to ensure timely and effective execution
- Define and evaluate procedures and acceptance criteria when technical clarifications are needed
- Advise customers and contractors on proper procedures to ensure compliance with technical specifications
You Bring
- A Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Industrial, or Electro-Mechanical Engineering, or a relevant technical certification
- A self-motivated, problem-solving mindset with strong ownership and accountability
- A demonstrated track record of personal growth and achievement
- The ability to build and maintain strong, lasting customer relationships
- Broad field experience in industrial or technical environments
- A proactive approach to learning, collaboration, and continuous improvement
