Position: Donor Services and Prospect Research Specialist

Position Overview:
Undertake departmental fundraising activities in support of Mount Pisgah Christian School and the
comprehensive campaign, Moving Pisgah Forward. Working with the Director of Development and
Development team, the Donor Services and Prospect Research Specialist will support the day to day (or
administrative functions) operations of the department through gift administration, constituent
relations management, and prospect research for the Advancement Department.
Responsibilities:
Donor Services
- Process and manage all charitable gifts, including data entry, imports, recurring donations, and tracking of memberships, sponsorships, and matching gifts.
- Maintain donor database integrity, including constituent records, segmentation, integrations, and ongoing system updates.
- Generate reports, queries, and analyses to support development strategy, including year-end reporting and data insights.
- Partner with Financial Services on gift reconciliation, compliance, and reporting, while managing acknowledgments, tax receipts, and organized recordkeeping.
Prospect Research
- Identify and evaluate prospective donors using research tools, financial data, and giving history to assess capacity and engagement potential.
- Prepare donor profiles, briefings, and reports to support development strategy and meetings.
- Maintain accurate CRM records (Raiser’s Edge/Blackbaud) and monitor trends to inform cultivation and stewardship strategies.
- Collaborate with the Development team and Director of Development to align priorities, track goals, enhance processes, and support overall donor engagement efforts.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university.
- A minimum of 2-3 years’ experience preferably in fundraising at a college, university, K-12 school or non-profit.
- A mission-driven individual who demonstrates an eagerness to serve in a faith-based academic environment & genuine ability to connect with and serve young people in a Christian community.
- Communications: Effective written, verbal, and editing communication skills. Should be able to adapt communication style to suit different audiences.
- Collaboration: Has student-centered focus and ability to work with multiple internal and external stakeholders, including students, families, faculty, staff, and community partners.
