Summary:
The Fabrication Coordinator will stage materials, schedule fabrication of pump units and packages, invoice the shipment of fabrication of pump units and packages, interface with shop personnel, management, inside sales, and engineering on a day-to-day tasks.
Responsibilities of the Fabrication Coordinator include, but are not limited to:
- Coordinate fabrication work orders, ensuring accurate routing, documentation, and timely execution.
- Review drawings, specifications, and customer requirements for accuracy and completeness.
- Track job progress and update ERP/job‑tracking systems.
- Communicate job status, delays, and changes to internal teams and customers.
- Collaborate with fabrication leads, project managers, sales, and procurement to align priorities.
- Assist with material planning, inventory verification, and purchase requests.
- Maintain job packets, inspection records, and quality documentation.
- Support quality control processes and ensure adherence to DXP fabrication standards.
- Monitor shop capacity and help optimize workflow to meet deadlines.
- Uphold all DXP safety policies and regulatory requirements.
Qualifications of the Fabrication Coordinator include, but are not limited to:
- 2+ years of experience in fabrication, manufacturing, or industrial coordination.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and blueprints.
- Strong organizational and multitasking skills.
- Proficiency with ERP systems and Microsoft Office.
- Effective communication and collaboration skills.
- Knowledge of fabrication processes and materials preferred.
